Sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo
The Feast of the Apparition of Saint Michael.
In A.D. 525, my patron, Saint Michael the Archangel, appeared on the summit of Monte Gargano in Apulia, Italy under the pontificate of Galasius I. Michael requested that a church should be built there for the worship of God in memory of himself and of all the angels. This place became celebrated on account of numerous miracles.
The church still stands to this day having been in active use by Catholics for over one thousand five hundred years.
